GAR resigned as a member. We thank GAR for their contribution to date and encourage them to re-apply for membership and to continue implementing the HCSA across their operations and supply chains.<\/p><p>With regards to the grievance raised to the HCSA against GAR and its investment Golden Veroleum (Liberia) Inc. (GVL), this is an active grievance as the HCSA Timebound Plan Framework that was finalized in June 2022 has not been fully implemented by GVL.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/highcarbonstock.org\/fr\/grievance_mechanism\/hcsa-gm-2018-01\/\">HCSA Timebound Plan Framework for the GVL_GAR Grievance Case.<\/a><\/p><p>GAR has stated in its resignation letter that it is &#8220;committed to continue to require GVL to execute their action plan and to bring benefits to affected communities without being encumbered by the inconsistencies between the RSPO and the HCSA processes. Specifically, GVL needs to engage with affected communities based on the Social Background Study, to finalise the HCS remediation\/restoration plan with a credible 3rd party based on the Earthworm Foundation\u2019s field assessment, and to publish quarterly progress reports.
