and expansion are already inhabited by people with existing and inherent rights, priorities and values.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>HCSA Social Requirements as set out in <a href=\"https:\/\/highcarbonstock.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/HCSA-Toolkit-V2.0-Module-2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Module 2 of the HCSA Toolkit<\/a> help to ensure that the people affected by development have a decisive voice in determining what happens in and around their lands.<\/p><p>Module 2 was trialled in pilot operations and revised and adapted by rightsholders and stakeholders before being finalised and published.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>It has two parts:<\/p><ul><li>Section A sets out the full text of the 14 Social Requirements and describes the context for their application\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/highcarbonstock.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/HCSA-Toolkit-V2.0-Module-2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>(pages 4-27<\/u>).<\/a><\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><ul><li>Section B focuses on the steps companies must take to ensure they respect communities\u2019 rights to their land and to Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) at all stages of implementation.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8f144b7 elementor-widget engage with communities in specific ways.
