HCSA is currently revamping and updating its quality review processes. This includes revisions to the current Peer Review process and fee, the introduction of the Preparation Phase review as well as the Integrated Conservation and Land Use Plan (ICLUP) review as detailed below:
HCSA Preparation Phase Review Process:
The Preparation Phase Template and its review process is currently being reviewed by the HCSA Executive Committee. Upon approval by the HCSA Executive Committee, all companies wishing to conduct the integrated HCV-HCSA Assessment or the standalone HCSA Assessment will be required to undergo a preparation phase review. However, the implementation of this Preparation Phase Review is paused until further notice.
HCSA Peer Review Process:

All companies that have registered to conduct standalone HCSA Assessment but have yet to begin the Peer Review Process is given until 30th June 2024 to begin the peer review process. After this date, all registered assessments will be removed from the list and future assessments have to follow the integrated HCV-HCSA assessment process.

Since the introduction of the Peer Review process in May 2017, there has been no changes to the fee structure. Following an in-depth review due to changing circumstances, the HCSA is revising the peer review fees and it will be effective from 1st January 2024. The new fee structure is as follows:
HCSA Integrated Conservation and Land Use Plan (ICLUP) Review Process:
Trials on the HCSA draft ICLUP Guidance document been completed and the learnings and recommendations from the trial have been incorporated into the document. The document is currently undergoing final revisions. More information on the ICLUP documents and its review process will be shared upon finalisation.
